The price has dropped so fast, I remembered last year that they quoted me for more than $3.5K for Df set with kit lens ! :mad2:

No regret at all as I used to shoot with D800. I know DF only has 39 AF points, but not everybody need additional 12 points at the extreme edge/corner. I am often amazed with the great speed and focus in low light, although without AF assist light.

If you are waiting for price to drop by $250 within 5 to 6 mths, to me is not so worth it compared to buying it now which actually implies you are 'renting' and enjoying the camera at $40-$50 a mth till u buy it at 3k (assuming it drops to tt level)
Also it means that if u already have an existing camera, you could sell it now before it depreciates even more in 5 to 6 mths.

I got mine for slightly less than that when the Df was first launched here. At the time Nikon Singapore told the dealers not to give too much discounts and most dealers happily obliged because of the overwhelming demand and limited supply.
I knew that eventually the street price would drop to that level once the demand for the Df slackened a few months down the road.

Two months ago I had walked around all dealers in City Hall area, their price were about the same. Some dealers had no stock.

Dfive, if $3300 for body only and could pay with credit card, that's the price for last December.
Some shop sold for $3200 with cash payment.
