looks like the classic has went down to 1.1k already lol

Natboy, I'm trying to figure out what it is on your mouse pad. Is it a filter?

Wow! I just tried my friend's 100-400 with a 2x teleconvertor on my 5D. Guess what, the AF works on my 5D!!! Effective focal length is 800mm f11. All the while I thought cannot AF if more than native f2.8 ;) Anyone tried this before?

Edit: And to add, the teleconvertor wasn't taped.

Ok I borrowed from him the whole set. Tomorrow will take some and share here

Hmmm think its crazy to trade the D700 to 5D/5DII... Heeee

Yes bro, is it known to have this capability? It's the DGX version

It seems that Kenko 2X TC is able to allow focusing even when the aperture is f/8 and above (after factoring the widest aperture of the lens multiply by 2).

Typical non 1D/1Ds bodies can only perform AF if the widest aperture of the lens does not exceed f/5.6. This is true for all Canon lenses but otherwise for 3rd party lenses from Tamron and Sigma which has aperture of f/6.3 for the tele end and yet still managed to focus on all bodies without a problem.
