I just ordered an EE-S from Canon Vivocity, they told me it will take about 1 month. Still have to bring to CSC to get it installed though.

the screen is easy to install. dun have to bring to csc.

Good luck selling your baby elevenninth! I don't think you'll have much of a problem. With the battery grip and other accessories, your price is fair.

Will you be upgrading to the new 5D after it's launched?

maybe.. depends on the AF if same then i rather get 2 x 5D2s for the price.

will be using an old 450D if i ever sell it, and getting a 50 with the money in the meantime.

I used to own a 400D and a 50D. Both were fine cameras. Indeed the 50D is technically more advanced than the 5D as far as bells and whistles go, but the IQ of the 5D is a little bit better. Regardless, the 50D will tide you over quite well until you decide between the 5D Mk2 or Mk3. :)

Thanks for the info! Was looking at Eleveninth's 5D in BNS...

If u think it's worth it then go straight for it. The 5D classic is really an extraordinary camera despite being already coming 7 years old.

I heard u can change to the new type at less than $30 in CSC if u want, but seems like you just saved that amount :p

Yes, I did that last August at CSC. They tried to tell me this story that the silver hotshoe is untested and cannot be guaranteed to work. I went ahead anyway and never had a problem. In fact, I have yet to hear of anyone having a problem with the silver hotshoe.

no problem, i changed quite long ago.

Hotshoe for canon cameras are the same throughout, different colours are not going to affect whether it works or not.

I must admit am kinda of a 'rojak' guy - 5D + Pentax cam strap + Zeiss lens + Metz flash but as long as it works it's fine by me :bsmilie:

Guess it depends on who you deal with at CSC. I was never given the 'not guaranteed to work' message, just that he needed to check to make sure they have stock. Mine was changed late last year along with sensor cleaning.

I know someone who still uses a D60 until today.

Although not digital, I still have a Contax RTSII Quartz film camera I bought in the eighties that still works perfectly.
