FF and crop are 2 very different concepts altogether. The thing is, u can never compare a cropped sensor with a FF one in terms of pic quality and resolution.

I have both. While 5D is really nice, 7D has its strengths. Burst rate, AF, liveview, and video are some of them. Smaller things like sensor cleaning, better power on-off placement, 3 custom settings, and larger LCD are nice as well.

ermm when i mention maximise the lens, i am referring to the photo quality. good glass only shows its full potential on FF sensors.

Guys, need your inputs. While I'm uploading my photos from 5D classic....
HAve you experience that in the middle of downlaoading your photos from a CF card it will stop and says camera internal error.
Photo were not downloaded to my Mac :(

I swap my CF to another body and download it..

Now everytime open my mac it will show camera internal error.

Get the $50 multiple card reader from Sandisk. 1 of the best purchases I've made.

I bought mine from Alan photo some time back.
I was sick of changing those $10-20 card readers from challenger
Every few months. The pins always get bent inside. The sandisk one I'm talking about comes on a metal stand.
Great transfer speed, insertion n removal of the cf card is done with ease.

I face similar prob with my cams, i have difficulty establishing a connection with the comp via the cable. And I only did that because the previous card reader died on me. Life is too short to spend so much time trying to transfer the pics, no?
And the cheap card readers ain't exactly cheap if u have to replace them every couple of months.
I'm sure they work ok with sd etc. But with CF, it just don't cut it.

If time management is as important to you as it is for me, you will find the card reader from Sandisk extremely helpful.

Cheers!

I have the standard USB 2.0 card reader from sandisk too and I agree about transfer speeds. Have been using it for a couple of years and still working great till now.

I can vouch for sandisk's quality, they're just as gd as their thumbdrives and memory cards!

I have the Sandisk card reader and can vouch for its quality and usefulness. The only thing that I do not use is the metal stand.

YEa... The metal stand can be rather bothersome if your desk is cluttered with it's weak magnetic hold and wide legs. After clearing my desk when I was making space for my amplifier, I managed to find a nice spot for it, for now atleast... LOL!

Thanks bros! BBB virus time :p

Steady! This one buy Liao confirm no regrets one!! My only regret though, is that I didn't buy it much earlier! Imagine the money and time I could have saved!!! Not to mention the Eco unfriendliness from dumping n supporting all the rubbish card readers...

L But paying so much for a MF lens was hard to justify.

If you want a cheap MF 14 f2.8 with outstanding sharpness, than try the Samyang 14m f2.8...I have the Nik mount one but it gets used on the 5D more than on the Nikons... 5d is a super camera that has withstood the test of time...I keep saying that I am going to upgrade or buy a new Nik FF but so far no need...I'd rather spend the money on Glass or more lights (elinchrom quadra comes to mind Ha Ha)...;)

Cheers

I've also heard good things about the optical and build quality of the Samyang. On the downside, it has no auto-focus and aperture settings are manually set. Nevertheless, Photozone gives gives it a very high rating in its review. It is also very reasonably priced being the least expensive UWA of them all!

I also want to experience with cheap + manual focus wide angle lenses on 5D. Nikon AIS lenses with Nikon-to-EOS adapter seems good. But a Nikon AIS lens and an adapter may cost more than the same version of the lens on Canon itself. For example, Nikon MF 28mm f/2.8 SeriesE + adapter may be as expensive as a Canon AF 28mm f/2.8. Any other suggestions?

alot of 5D2s on bns after the 5D3 release date rumours.

damn kanchiong le this ppl. 5D2 not good enough meh.

I still using gd ol 5D.. anyone gonna upgrade to 5D2?
