Mine has about 20K on it too.... so like yours still young and attractive. However my 7D is also vying for my affections. It's so difficult to choose when you're in a polygamous relationship!

weird how occasional?

once in a long while, it will just occur whilst i'm taking a shot. Mirror lock-up and err99 message. Turn it off and back on and it's cured.

Left it with them for 2 weeks and after checking, rechecking and testing, technician asked me back, are you sure you have this problem cos your camera is one of the better condition sets he's serviced. I told him it occurred occasionally and he told me nothing is wrong with the camera and it's working perfectly and that it will last until shutter dies and i can still replace the shutter to continue using it.

No explanation given as he was simply perplexed as to why i'm getting him to do so much checking when it's working fine. Maybe it's just one of those random incidents when it just has an error out of the blue for no particular reason...or perhaps...it's the little bEAst asking to be sayang-ed...LOL!!

That could be another 10-20 years!! Some people are still using the AE-1 series till now :thumbsup:

Let's hope CSC can continue to provide support for this Gem for many years to come.

Think there's a limit of around 10 years or so, after that they might phase out all components support. But till then, will still enjoy every single moment with my 5D!

Like to share mine too. It's because of 5D that I migrate from film to digital and now there's no turning back. It's compabitable with all my manual Zeiss lens which I refused to
give up.

replace PCB.

faulty. so now my 5D got new board, new hotshoe, new focus screen. lol

Sure am happy to share can view more on my flickr site though. This is a converted N series CZ lens with Canon EF mount giving full function between cam & lens
just like using a Canon lens. Picture no PS, taken as is under available light.
