Hoping i can find a good copy of 5D..

Regarding serial #, which one is the newer version? And the Greenish LCD issues.... My copy of 5D before is the Greenish LCD one..

Bro, the serial number starting with 2 or 3 are the later versions, without greenish issue. It is slightly better than those starting with 0 and 1.

Having said that, I will not really bother about these serial numbers. It is just for "shiok" feel only. My experience is irregardless of which one you buy, when you upload the picture into your computer, they will all give you a "Wow"!

Too rash in selling off your 5D now full of regrets. I bought mine and is loving it to death especially coupling with my Zeiss lens.

Just sent my beloved camera for a check on the occasional err99 and overall check-up few weeks ago. Doctors couldn't find any issues with it and declared it fit for battle anytime. Technician also helped lubricate the mirror box and i got him to change the hotshoe to the silver type (he did offer a choice of the original black or silver just in case anybody wants to restore it to the original look) and tell me the shutter count via telephone and cleaned my viewfinder too...best part is that all this cost me only $23 if i remembered correctly. Cost was for the new hotshoe and labour to install it

Mine has about 20K on it too.... so like yours still young and attractive. However my 7D is also vying for my affections. It's so difficult to choose when you're in a polygamous relationship!
