Sigma lens are worth it imo, used the 12-24mm, 50-500, and now using the 120-300mm for sports, AF and build quality is pretty good for me. I would say good value for money.

I second for the 12-24. Using it and it's worth every single cent of it. Gave up my 17-40 for this and never looked back.

Guys any of you use 3rd party flash on your 5D? I am thinking of getting 1. Not sure which will be a better choice.

I don't use flash frequesntly, that's why I just need a cheap alternative to the Canon's. Any recommendation?

Cheapest and most powerful flash on the market.

Its manual so u have to learn to adjust the power settings appropriately to get your desired lighting.

Yes, I think Sigma had announced a "guaranteed" launch date of April 2011.... now it's delayed to a "guaranteed" launch date of September 2011. Oh well...

After 4 months, I still miss my 5D. There are some rumours that there may be a 5D3 only for stills or perhaps a new 3D. I will be waiting patiently and anxiously for the new coming and hope it will be a remake of this old venerable. Please continue to keep this thread going as I still love to hear from you people, especially the photos. Cheers.
