Hello,
I'll be offering film scanning services for those who are shooting with film!
I mostly scan my own slides, but negatives also can!
Scanning Price (per roll) :
1200dpi :
- S$3.00 for B&W/Colour Negatives (35mm/120mm)
- S$4.00 for Positives/Slides (35mm/120mm)
2400dpi:
- S$3.50 for B&W/Colour Negatives (35mm/120mm)
- S$4.50 for Positives/Slides (35mm/120mm)
4800dpi:
- S$4.00 for B&W/Colour Negatives (35mm/120mm)
- S$5.00 for Positives/Slides (35mm/120mm)
(I will not scan cross-processed slides and other DPI can be requested.)
Extra costs:
Burn to CD - Extra S$1.00
Save as TIFF instead of JPEG - Extra S$2.50 (including CD)
Workflow:
Films will be scanned using Epson V600 with Vuescan Software. Scanner and films will be blown and dusted to ensure that there is no dust. Films will be handled with care to ensure zero scratches. If scratches already present before scan, I can't help it. :bsmilie:
After scan, films will go through Photoshop for Auto Levels to ensure that details are kept within the histogram. Small amount of Unsharp Mask will also be applied.
All your scanned photos will be uploaded to my site for you to download. They will be zipped to make sure file size is smaller. Link to download will be provided via email. Rest assured that files will be deleted after you receive them.
File information:
Files will be saved in JPEG format at highest quality setting.
TIFF format can be requested.
1200dpi is approx 1680 x 1120 for 35mm and 2600 x 2600 for 120mm
2400dpi is approx 3360 x 2240 for 35mm and 5200 x 5200 for 120mm
How to pass/collect films:
I would suggest films to be mailed to me, for convenience sake.
Please indicate your name, contact number, address and scanning details in the envelope, together with your films.
You can also pass the films to me if you wish. But it would have to be arranged. (I live in the West.)
After scan, I will mail you back your films via normal mail. Again, collection is also possible but have to be arranged. Your choice.
Scanning Duration and Payment:
Scans will take approximately 3-4 days to scan. You will be notified once I'm done with them and you'll get the link to download.
Payment will be sent via ATM or Internet Banking. I will provide you my POSB account number.
