try to watch out for lens flares in #2. probably use a lens hood, yes, even when you're taking night photography. Other than that, your shoots look good. shouldn't be that much of a problem in Shanghai.

Actually i did have the lens hood on
i think partly is due to the UV lens filter that i have on hence the pronounced flare....
but im not keen to unscrew the filter in case dust goes onto my lens....
and screwing ard at night doesn't sound like a simple task to me
nvr tried it even in the day, the shop guy screwed it on for me :/

then for the esplanade shot, this one has a 'thingy' in the middle which im not sure wat it is...
anyone can shine some light on what is tt??

getting dust in zoom lens is very common, but if lens inflected with fungus, then is a serious case liao...

Yep, my esplanade composition is very bad, cos im intending to stitch a series of it up :D
but haven done it yet..... and that thingy floating in the middle is weird..
the rest of the photos didn't have it, even those that i took after this shot didn't have it
and i dun think it can be fungus, i've juz got my D90 last month... and i do keep it in a dry box with silicon gels

feel that the colors abit too warm.. which WB u used? try to shoot in RAW format :)

i shot in flourescent WB
personally i prefer my shots to be warmer....
unless im taking people

today i tried taking people shots in front of cathay where the red/pink/white lights are
i tried all the different WB settings but they all seem wrong.... wat do ur use in such a situation??
and i turned to f3.5 but i still can't get the light bulbs at the back of my subject to become bokeh.... can tell me wats wrong?
