[Numnumball] Urbanscapes/Ruralscapes in SG

Wow, All the shots are beautiful !
A marvelous photographer indeed !
haha, dont mind if i ask, do you photoshop the photos?
and , is there any guide on shooting photos at which angles?

Thanks for your compliments. :)

I do only mild post processing, mainly tweaks to contrast, saturation and sharpness etc.. but blending also in some of my works.. Glad you like them.

Err.. Is all in the mind, and all abt studying the scene, pick your subjects, studying the light and let your creativity run wild..

Understand fundamentals and key principles of composition and progress further frm there.

Enjoy your photographic journery the way i do~!!

Hi,

Reflection photography is pretty straightforward and timing and luck played a very important role. i was lucky on both occasions, 7 and 10 was taken on the same place. Zero wind in the early hours with good lighting..

There's no magic settings.. Understanding the corelation between aperture/shutter duration/iso/light intensity etc will ease ur way of shoot better..

Bt as a brief guide, i should on a sturdy tripod 100% of the time, and always select the base iso for the cleanest img with the highest dynamic range. rule of thumb is u wan depth of field, so anything from f11 shd be good.. Since i shoto Manual most of the time, i jus adjust the shutter duration accordingly for a well exposed pic. Hope that helps..

Thanks for ur kind words :)

thanks alot ! just a question, did you use a ND filter? and what do you mean by base iso ? :/

Yes i do use alot of ND filters which i think is hard to mimic via pp..

Base Iso is the default lowest (but not the lowest as there's still an extended" lowest ISO setting by 1/3 to full stop) ISO setting by which u can have the cleanest image without compromising ur dyanmic range.. For Nikon is 200, Canon is 100 and so on and forth.

i m using D700 with 16-35mm f4 currently, some of the old pics are shot with 17-35mm f2.8 and 14-24mm f.28.

I cant recommend if i have no idea what system you are using :)

Great series. Keep them coming.

:thumbsup:Super nice....!!!

Very nice long exposure series! Very much like the wet rocks and the softness of the water. ;)

Nice set, some panos looks a bit off angled (155,159).
