Bro... your pics continue to amaze and inspire me! Just got my 2nd speedlight and learning more about lighting and how to control it

I own 5 nos of flashes (3 nos speedlight and 2 nos 3rd third party)

Most of time i bring along 2 speedlight for my macro, i had bring along up to 4 flashes to field, but i might not use them.

For me, how many external light was use mainly depend on the natural light condition and the effect i desired. Sometime i use only natural light. Of course, with more flash, you can have more control, but it is also useless if a person don't know how to tame it.

Just remember light travel in straight lines, they can get diffused or scattered, reflected and refracted, then you can picture how and where the illumination will strike. That's how raytracing algorithms in those 3D software work. ;p

Thanks bro Your mentioning of raytracing helps me to understand this better... never though to see it that way until you mentioned it. I used to write some raytracing stuff in my undergraduate days... and finally my undergraduate education is going to be put to use :bsmilie:

Hah!! I didn't know you're into raytracing.. ;p That will definitely help you a lot. It's application time. You should be a subject matter expert than most of us here..
