what u do in outfield then?

I'm vehicle mechanic, radar deployment and local defence outfield.

Arty relac wan la. Not as siong as the other vocations. Among the 7 combat formations, Arty and Sig are the 'better' ones. Not as tough as the rest.

My bro C9L2 but he goes outfield cos he armour tech, have to tend to the tanks. Not at frontline but still outfield.

What you mean arty relax? Last time my Battery Commander siow made us camouflage the gun several times in the rain. The camo net isn't as light as you think and its even heavier when its wet. Try ramming iron pickets into the ground when the ground is filled with stones and you have to do this within timing. Failure to meet timing means it has to be done again and again till timing is met. Not to mention during my training we had to unload dummy rounds. Each round weights 45kg. To takan us last time they made us load and unload rounds from a 7 tonner. I had several friends injured in training.

every vocation is siong lah. cook clerk driver etc all got its good and bad points. just try to downgrade and get the hell out of there as soon as possible. ;p

lol like that driver also siong. :bsmilie: Changing and carrying tyres not easy! Tyre changing drill cannot meet timing must redo.

Every vocation is siong in its own sense. Most impt thing is to fight as a cohesive force should the need comes. Taking abt this, hiaz, IPPT window open le, better to start training for IPPT soon...

siong or not siong is another matter... its natural to kena "tekan" in ns, as long as u dun get urself injured during training can liao. for me i got a fractured big toe which now cannot bend, partially numb fingers, worn out spinal disc & knee cartiledge worn off... worth it or not?? well i had my fair share of fun & fond memories of my ns days. so LPPL la.. haha

I was deployed before as a PES E9L9 to the field.. but in the Ops Rm only... nothing much also...free trip, got money to spend.. why not...
