I've walked down Joo Chiat road multiple times & went pass the Changi Junk Store loads of times as well.
This time, I saw Mr Basman bin Johari outside his store restoring an antique table. I stopped for a short chat with him & he invited me into his store to take a look the other antiques he had in there.
Noticed a picture of a young bodybuilder posing on the beach. Mr Basman bin Johari pointed out that was him in his younger days!
I couldn't really get a clear picture of his portrait he was holding due to the reflections.
Mr Basman bin Johari was a people's association champion back in his younger days, such amazing history he had!
