I remember shooting all these shots at F2.8 wide open on the Avenon & shutter speeds of 1/15. The wonders of mirrorless systems & a not too shaky hands does the job perfect!

yea, it was dark in the evening with minimal light.

Wide open at F2.8, film was TriX rated at asa400, shutter 1/15.

Didnt help at Jonker street everyone was under shelters due to the rain, creating more shadow area.......

1/8 for a rangefinder is possible handheld as well. 1/4, tried it before, hit & run really.

Hey Gary I really like your style! It's pretty unique, haven't seen anyone that shoots like you. Do you mostly shoot from the hip or just frame for a split second and then fire the shutter?

Thanks.

I frame all my shots. I use scale/zone focusing very heavily & yea, I frame the shots.

You dont have to always shoot at eye level, you can kneel down or bend down to take shots really.
