One of the best EVF I've tried so far I am using the Oly EVF2 and colors and contrast cant even come close to A77 EVF I tend to use A77 EVF to view my photos than the LCD lolz

I thought bro the 5n evf has the same spec as seen in A77 Nex7? coz my A33 EVF compared to A77 EVF is heaven and earth comparision

the FDA-EV1S uses the same technology as the 2.35MP XGA OLED EVF found on the A77, A65 and NEX-7. the A57 and A37 use a 1.44MP LCD EVF

Yes, 5N evf is the same as A77, when I compare 5N (and A55 EVF) to my Lumix FZ100's EVF ...there's a "heaven and earth" difference ...so between 5N and A55, there is differences "but not by much" :bsmilie:

the NEX-5N's EVF is much better than the A55's.

basically, it's the same as the one on the NEX-7

yeah the Olympus EVF2 and tried the one on OMD... both are bright but not as good as A77. A77 EVF colors are very good.... Coz I heard a lot of folks saying 5n EVF and Oly EVF2 and OMD EVF is almost as good..... so I was wondering how can it be I have Oly EVF2 and A77 they are still very far apart.... so I was guessing that 5n EVF may have the same LCD or OLED but different optics? this make the A77/NEX7 EVF to be much crisp and much brigther...

But I still need to visit Sony and try out (if they still have) A55 and nex-5n with EVF to see the difference for my self

The evf on 5n , a77 and nex7 is identical. I used to own all 3 but sold off the 5n with evf after I got the 7.

Oly vf2 and omd evf are similar but the omd evf has a smoother read out and hence the lag in the output has improved significantly from vf2. I also thought the omd evf is also brighter than vf2. But I sold the vf2 quite some time back , comparison with omd is based on my memory and past experience.

Comparing the omd evf to nex. The output are not close at all . The omd evf is very good in its class . When it comes to resolution and colors , the oled evf is clearly in the lead.

The other evf I have tried is panny g3, which i find useable and comparable to vf2 as well.

I have forgotten how the a33 evf fare after I was so delighted by the oled evf on a77 lol .

Just got the Nex7, the EVF is the same as the 5N's. I think the A77, A65, Nex7 and 5N all share the same OLED EVF.

I have 'super-zoom' PNS cameras like the Lumix FZ18, FZ100 and Nikon P500, after you peek into the EVF of these PNS cameras, you will understand why I said there is only slight differences between the 5N and A55's EVF. ...even the Olympus's EVF got only slight differences when you take into context the VGA resolutions of the PNS superzooms.

Slight difference? It's really a world of difference in terms of color accuracy and details

I've tried Oly OM-D and Fuji X100 evf, both cannot make it.
