'No Photography' Plz...

Wah where was this at sia? I never seen local scenes set up until so tua zhong before (although this is not considered tua zhong overseas :))

Empress Walk... near Esplanade

Anyone shot models at Raffles Hotel arcade before and got away with it?

I brought my parent there once, but ask them to dress nicely. Then take some photo. Was using PnS though :sweatsm:

Hehehe... just did a shoot at Raffles Hotel.. got stared at by staff and guests, but nothing happened to us.:bsmilie:

a reporter from TNP is back working on our story...stay tune! ;)

Another example that the reporter might want as examples of abuse of power or lack of proper training and dissemination of information to their own staff possibly causing inconvenience to members of the public and hindering the growth and development of the arts in Singapore, something I believe the Government has been actively promoting and supporting for some time now:

Ref: Part 2 Chapter 4-1, Part 2, Division 2, chapter 8-1 http://www.nparks.gov.sg/cms/docs/about-us/Parks_and_Trees_Regulations-Cap_216_Rg1.pdf

which essentially tells me that anyone, according to the rules and regulations under the Parks and Trees Act that anyone can:

1) produce a film, movie or video as long as it's not for sale, hire or commercial purposes, and 2) carry out stills photography, for non-commercial OR commercial purposes.

Where a rebuttal may come from is in Part 2, Division 1, Chapter 4-2(b) and Part 2, Division 1, Chapter 5.

Under NParks list of allowed activities IS photography, and a list of locations where photography IS allowed: http://www.nparks.gov.sg/cms/index.php?option=com_visitorsguide&task=activities&id=19&Itemid=81

Apparently, the TS in the thread, @tammysplayground got haressed and chased away by park rangers at Lower Pierce Reservoir, a location where photography, according to the NParks themselves, IS an allowed activity. Read what the rangers said to TS.

I've done a couple of shoots at Raffles Hotel along the walkway where all the luxury goods shops are without any issues. However, they were taken at around 8pm and some of the shops were already closed at that time.

There was a doorman there but he didn't chase me away...he just kept looking @ my direction. :dunno:

they have been getting very strict with photography there..
was chased away by the security when shooting there wif a couple recently..

The grass was beaten and snakes are all alert. The undercover reporters will not face what we have experienced loh.

But on a good note, now is the time to hoot such places before people start to forget and be overly zelous in security again. :D
