Check & clean mount contacts of both lens & camera. May use eraser at the end of pencil.
Just avoid particles dropping into it.
Swap with another Sony lens to try, if available.
If still having problem thereafter, your camera mount may suspect to have a problem.
Visit SSC asap.

This problem occurs more frequently for third party & manual lenses (or with adapter mount).

Meanwhile, you may disable the confirmation check in the custom menu to continue shooting.
If your camera do not have this in the menu, use manual mode to continue temporary.
yes, using M Mode and manual focus for about 2-3 weeks, at the end the body don't like what i did, the body drive the lens a bit after i manual focus... :dunno::cry:

Buy new body! Haha...

Or, you can join some of our outing, we can help you to check. Other than this, you are on your own.

Sony again?... :nono:

Sony again?... :nono:

Whatever... I don't think we can help children. If you want our help, try coming to meet up in our outing. I am sure some of us would be able to help you check your camera more properly. However, since Sony say everything is fine, I suspect something else is wrong.

Though... I find it odd that you claimed Sony would need to test the camera body for a few days, yet immediately able to find another lens to test and replied to Titan10k?

SSc call and say no problem at all... :what:... they say have to take few more days to see what's going wrong... if nothing wrong in their hands, then came back to me, and problem appear...

and

yes, still same...

no lens attached
shutter is locked

Looking at the date you posted, less than 1 day different?

No point whining like children (that seems to very post you wrote in this thread). I think, most of us would be willing to try test the camera with our own lenses. Just sign up the outing and do let us know.

Edit: Or... Tell us where you stay, if any of our bros stays near you, think you can ask to meet up and let him check it.

Never heard of that before, Sony had been doing electronic product for years through years, nobody have doubt in their products and even Nikon are using their sensors for many years, unless third party lens u use had some how short circuit the electronic circuits. I f not should send for checking. Do not cry wolf it just don't help.;)

Hi, do you able to re-produce this error in front of SSC's customer service? Based on my experience, they will follow up for you (I no need to re-explain to their engineer).
Sometimes verbal explanation not enough.

bugis still help me send for detail check, and sony call say no problem, they say need some more times to 'catch' the problem.

hope you understand, the camera is sometime OK sometime don't.

Sure sure... As I said earlier, try come out for the outing and let others to test it out with you, or see if any bros live close to you, and ask for their help. Otherwise, to be frank, you are on your own.

OK... Then, wait for them to reply. Why post for help, when you don't have the camera with your now?

hahaha ,That's just nothing, u have not even driven a car with very little engine oil when is totally new. So do not cry over spill milk , sent for repair again and again until the engineer look into your problems. That is wat I can recommend.Really is just peanut matters.

last nite go bugis meet friends, and sony call, say my camera is ready for collect. they replace a parts call BL CONTACT HOLDER UNIT (part no: A1382459A), i'm not sure what is it, as they don't give me d faulty parts(Shutter release) like last time...

they don't check the lens.

hope this is my last time send my A300 for repair.

Do update us again after testing.

So, Had Sony solve the problems : I believe u must had use a third party Old lens that causes the electronic short circuit, thus causes them to change the contact point for re-activation of the auto focus.Be very careful do not use too old third party lens.Just my 1 cent advise.
