Become an official photographer and you dont have anything to worry about. Free all access pass to the whole circuit. Thats the best way to go.

did they say

cannot bring ladder? :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

Stoopid rules equates stoopid rulers< myth or fact, you decide.:bsmilie:

"9. Is photo taking allowed inside or during the race?
Only photos intended for home use may be shot within the Circuit Park. No images may be made for professional or for personal gain. All telephoto camera lenses must have a focal strength of greater than 200mm. Ordinary Ticket Holders must not bring into or use within the Circuit Park any professional video cameras, handy cams or tripod equipment. The Promoter reserves the right to remove any photographic or video equipment at any time." - Their FAQ.

I bringing FZ18 + 2x, Aperture = :bsmilie:

Anyway this is stupid. Wonder if those pay $5000 can bring 1200mm f5.6 anot -.-

It says here "all telephoto camera lenses must have a focal strength(sic) of greater than 200mm". Unless this is a typo, your 24-70 isn't allowed into the circuit park!

And I suppose you just say you want to become one and you'll get the position? In all of our dreams...

Maybe the organizer knows that anything less than 200mm will not make good photos so they ask everyone to bring lens greater than 200mm, for good will.

funny leh. it really says ...

They do check bags entering F1 races. In Sepang, they check for dangerous weapons. In Singapore the checklist will be longer. ;)

haha. use the hassy and shoot f1 cars? mmmm ... shoot motion blur? :D

but but...its a night race, flash will be very obvious...else best to get a f2.8 lens...

Canon 200/2.0 IS USM or Nikkor 200/2.0 AF-S VR :D

i heard from a semi pro racer driver that the lighting will be brighter than those i had experience at the location infront of SCC during Chingay08. i shot Chingay with iso1000, f5.6, 1/60.

with f2.8 lenses should be ablr to get 1/250.

Woo, that's not too bad. 200mm on a 1.6x crop sensor camera would be 320mm. But, I am not very happy with the tripod rule. No tripod, monopod (with 3 legs) lor!

With a olympus dSLR and a 200mm lens, it would be 400mm!

Then plus a 2x it would be 800mm!!
