+1 +2 +3 .....???? abit childish isn't it? :nono:

You need to show some respect to other people's thread. reachme2003 is raising a relevant issue. As to what the moderator think, leave it to them, funny for you to try to act as one or to hint to the moderator that they should do their job to lock this post.
How admins & mods do their jobs is their business and if u can judge that by simply doing a +1 = teach/hint mods what to do, u can have ur thoughts on that. I can't comment. :)

To whoever thinks that I can't draw the line, CS is CS, EDMW is EDMW. As far as I'm concerned, what happens there stays there and what happens here stays here. Whilst traits remain, at least I dun pull ppl's remarks frm 1 forum to another and drag them in the mud somewhere else.

Anyway, back to topic before anything happens.

The entire matter had taken too long (7yrs to be precise) to resolve IMO and until heads roll, ppl are going to cry for blood till they get it.

As for those who said, "leave the receipients out of this matter & continue donation." well, u have ur own opinion and entitled to it. But as far as I'm concerned, until the full report's out and after a few years of observing what the hell they are doing to my money, no way they are going to get 1 cent from me.

I stopped my donation to NKF.
I will start again only if I see there is justice done to the former CEO and former Board of Directors who benefited financially from NKF money.

calling others childish?:nono:
He is entitled to his own thoughts, can call me 'childish' or whatever. Feel free to do so. I'm fine with it and I can't stop him (neither can u). He can fire bombs & rockets at me. Prolly use me as a dinnertime gossip topic as well juz go ahead. :)

As far as I'm concerned whatever gossip goes on in cyberspace stays & dies there, what goes on in one place stays & dies there. That's my principle & policy.

In such a small country we all living in.... Why NKF want to do such thing like that? Greed, dishonesty, all to thyself & so on.... With no natural resources but just hard labours....Why not help each others?
Is a shame that such things always happens when millions/billions of dollars are somewhere near for grabs.
Take a look at the bottoms. There are people who is still hungry, homeless, dispare, poor, rejected, uneducated (esp. the older generations at their late 60's to 80's) and also having hard time just to survive each day. If no one cares for them who will?
Younger populations here is getting smaller & smaller every year & older ones are vice versa. 20-30yrs from now, I believe most of us here are at their 50s-60s already.
What can you do next? If you think that the younger generations can give you a helping hand, it's almost impossible already.
Anyway, just a gentle reminder to those very high above. Do step in our shoes & think really hard how shall you spend our hard earn $$ in millions to the most useful ways & not to your own leisure/selfish ways. Thank you very much.

I think after the latest report by KPMG, Singaporeans will not let this matter rest until Durai and the ex-board have been brought to task. This will be a warning to other charities/non-profit organisations that the public's generosities should not be taken advantage of. And finally, those who were sued by Durai for telling the truth should have their cases reopened.

Honestly, if everyone thinks like u do, this world would be utophia. :)

The other thread discussing this topic had been closed 'pending review'. My anger had been released over in the other thread. I'll keep the peace here.

Can I ask what's the point of doing this +1 thing?

The health minister is VERY angry...he ought to as I was surprised he defended NKF last time in parliament. I am happy he is confirmed taking action against them. I think the charges are too many to list down. Let's wait report from CAD and CPIB.

he said mom is pressing charges, in consultation with ag's chambers. i do not think he said he is bent on taking (legal) action against them.

he admitted that he was misled, along with other vvvips.

honestly.... based on the report, durai is not really guilty. It's the board that fails in their job of oversight....

10 cents of every dollars goes to the NKF patients. What i want to know is what happens to the other 90 cents. Out of these, how much goes into reserves, and how much goes into the paychecks & bonuses of the ex-Board of Directors and ex-CEO? Anyone has detailed breakdown?

details are probably in the kpmg 300 pages report.

... possible breaches of directors' fiduciary duties, among others.

Read page 225 of the report, some of it goes into payment of insurance, road tax, repair and service of Durai's PERSONAL car. Also, payment was made to Mrs Durai for cash card top-up.

Other expenses are like more than quater a million for travel expenses over the periods from Feb 04 to June 05 for a handful of people etc (pg 229-231). Not sure if all are beneficial trips for NKF. Anyway, too many to list!

We'll have to wait a few weeks for criminal investigations to complete.:dunno:

But he definitely should start by apologising to the three he accused of slandering him! Poor guys were forced to apologise then. I don't see why his super-ego should prevent him from doing it now. Especially when they've been proven right!

This must be the greatest own goal in Sinagpore's history! :bsmilie:

the report is founded upon the scope laid out by the auditor.
based on paper documents.
which is why it was said in press conference someone fed up why previous audits found nothing wrong.

but of course !!!

an auditor can at the outset decide he will not ask such and such questions
he does not want to know. I repeat.

he does not want to know.

It is outside of the scope of his audit.

serious wrongdoings are not recorded on paper for you to conveniently audit.

will others be able to uncover criminal acts? wait and see.

will they atone by donating one of their kidneys to the patients? Else may their sins be visited upon their future descendants!

Does not look good as now the heat is on the accounting firm Pricewaterhouse instead of the Ministry not doing their job. Ministry "honest overlook" ?
