Shooting Stars

Manually blended 2 exposures using no filters

Used another exposure to control the highlights. Always found it challenging to shoot the Art Science Museum after the Sun has set. Last shot for the series on Marina Bay which I am doing for my night photography project.

Thank you! Glad it works for you! :)

Back to do trails after being so sick of it

Manually blended 5 exposures using 5D2+TSE17

Chose to use TSE17 in this case to include more foreground without loss of wideness and resolution plus avoid doing stitching

Notice the light trail in the sky, for those who are not sure how is this formed, it was actually the light trails left behind by construction cranes. Saw this sometime back so wanted to do a less extreme version of this. The only limitation was a growling stomach and sugar level in blood going low. Might come back here for the fun of it another day. I'm just glad to be back to shooting after a busy week at work!

Manually blended 3 exposures and some tonal adjustments using curves.

Nitewalk,

firstly, thanks for sharing all the great pictures. I really like the way it was taken. Can I make a suggestion, in order to help others understand and appreciate the techniques, maybe you can include in the EXIF and the time of photo taken. Just my 5 cents worth. Anyway, do con't your great works and share more yah! Thank you.

Hi Kenneth, from time to time I do post an overview of my processing (coming up in the next post). There are times when I feel the image does not reveal the amount of work behind it, or some part of the processing may be of interest, or panorama/vertorama images, I do post my processing overview. As such, it is difficult for me to post EXIFs as there are many exposures, take for example the next image #28, there are 45 exposures and really it does not make sense to even post an overview of the settings. I don't mind, however, questions pertaining how certain shots are taken and with what settings. If you are interested, do feel free to drop me a pm, and I can explain or pass on any relevant information. Thanks for dropping by and giving me your suggestion!

River Rush

Manually blended 45 exposures in two sets, one set for boat trails (11 exposures) and another set for laser show (34 exposures) with minimal tonal adjustments. The whole processing took 1.5 hours to complete, which is not something common for me.
