Hi. Thanks for the awareness. It wasn't HDR, I used another kind of blending technique, as I was experimenting. It was a very backlit scene.

It's at Yung Kuang Road at block 63. U can take bus 30 from boon lay.

thanks for the location nitewalk (:

went down today to grab a few shots and really liked the design of the old hdb building alot - so minimal and clean in terms of its design. wished our modern flats were more like that.

Shot made from 2 exposures manually blended to expose for sky and control the highlights (building lights). GND0.9+GND0.6 is used.

Hazy evening today. Just intended to test LEE big stopper at evening timing. The colour cast is light blue (could be also due to the GND0.6 stacked) and quite easy to correct.

Set Fire to the Puffy Sky

Manually blended 3 exposures with GND0.9 used to record exposures.

Single exposure using Lee Big Stopper + ND0.9 for effectively 13 stops. Went slightly over 13 stops to achieve a 4 minute exposure.

There is a speck of dust and unfortunately it got stuck on the edge of the bank building. Did not know what to do with it, any suggestions?

Pearl Centre

HDR image of 5 exposures fused.

Remembered by some as "RA 城", literally translates into "RA City" as it is infamous for the almost exclusive range of R(A) films. It is announced recently that it is to make way for MRT development.

Not long ago, it had underwent major renovations. Pity the poor shop owners. The older generation will probably remember this place with more fond memories.

Light Bends

Single exposure using GND0.9 inverted to control the exposure in the foreground.

Singapore streets are very well-lit and we are fortunate for that. However, this is a challenge to capture strong light trails. Very often, people use GND to control the exposure of the sky, but this is probably one of the very few situations which I would invert it to control the exposure of the foreground.

Seated just beside the road on the ground, I became the subject of someone shooting street photography.

Credits to Draken413o. It was his work "Hong Lim Corridor" made me wanted to shoot this.

Very often, we pass by the same familiar places without looking up from inside the vehicle and realise how beautiful our city can be. People often lament that there is nothing to photograph in Singapore, further going on to claim that our cityscape is nothing and the grass is greener elsewhere. I beg to differ. Our city is beautiful, we just need to slow down our pace and admire what we have than to wish what others have.
