Hi

I am a D60 user and I am considering buying a flash.

I would like to know your opinion on the nissin flash( http://www.dphotoexpert.com/2008/02/28/new-nissin-flash-units-for-canon-and-nikon/) , it is almost 100 bucks cheaper than the SB 600.

Do let me know

Many Thanks

I used a Nissin flash a few years ago during my film days. My opinion is that Nissin Flash are good and I have no problem using them. And they're cheaper also...

If you don't mind losing some functions that are available in the SB600, this Nissin flash is more than enough for daily use...

why buy 3rd party when you can use the original ?

what if lets say *touchwood* the nissin flash fries your hotshoe ? even under warranty, since you use 3rd party, nikon wont be liable.

sb600 is capable of wireless slave using CLS from commander flashes like sb800 or sb900 or the SU, or even D70/80/90/200/300 etc (except d40/40/50/60)

i've bought 3rd party flashes before, but none as satisfactory as the sb-600. let's not forget, when u wanna sell ur sb-600, the price is still higher than a 3rd party
