i think i will mai tu liao, seems so far SLR best price and most likely will entertain newbee like me more if i happened to asked a bit more ;p

thumbs up for SLR revo bot my di866 for $386 just now really good service . the sales person he not so well verse in nissin product he just tell me so rather than any how boost .

was looking at di 622 and di 866 his initial advise is di622 is most useful in most of time but i end up choosing the di866 due to the build slightly better more comprehensive settings and specs

i got no link with slr revo just saw this thread and went to make my purchase :)

Good price!
Is the interface on the back of the flash unit easy to use?

sigh, finally made my way down to SLR just now to get a 622. but was told all sold out like hotcakes within these few days, suayz :cry:

just got a 622 from AP at $230 after much bargaining. feeling cheated now man ha

don't think so much la... Just use the flash and make the most of it! Cheers!

Dont think so much since much liao , just make full use of your flash .

I got my DI622 from SLS Alan for $198
Look for Alan Ng

There's another thread that says the Di866 is selling at TCW at $360 incl GST. Didn't check at the shop so cannot confirm. Anyone tried?

SLS = Sim Lim Square
Alan = Alan Photo.

Oh. Saw SLS Alan and then Alan Ng. A bit confused. :confused:
Anyway thanks.

Hmm. Seems like the price getting lower and lower!

hi guys! sorry TS hijack your thread for a while. just wondering to all, which is better?
Canon Speedlite 580 II (~$800) or
Nissin SpeedLite Di866 (~$450) ?

580EXII can be had for $750~, and personally I would only buy Canon flashes for use on camera. Nissins maybe for off-camera lighting if I'm on a budget

the price tells all as for build its for canon 580exii its weather proof , just buy something to yr needs if yr for work guess just go for canon , if for hobby DI866 will serve u very much of a use .u can go down have a look at the flash itself too frankly speaking for the price of nissin its really for bang for bucks value for money for a flash at this price with the specs very near to 580exii

anyway 450 for is abit expensive for market price

I bought my Di866 for $385 cash from The Camera Workshop at Peninsular.

Errr, not yet. my BBB virus is a lot slower than others. much much slower.

Anyway I was only looking at the 866. OP selling at 400. Reddot selling at 410. But Reddot offer a purchase with purchase offer. If you get the flash at 410 you get to buy imedions at $10. In the end they work out to be the same. I already have a lot of eneloops lying around at home.

Looking at SLR Revolution, their prices are the best at this point in time. They are the new kid on the block, so I do not know how long the good prices will last. Buy now while you can. I do not know how long the honeymoon will last.

Nissin was saying they were going to upgrade the firmware of 622 to be compatible as a CLS slave in end Oct/ beginning Nov timeframe. Haven't happened yet. So I will keep using my SB600 single flash for now. Just keeping my options open.

thanks for your advice, daredevil..

anyway, i bought my Di622 today. not a new one, but still in very good condition wit 5mths warranty left. The guy sold me at $180 with all the original package+ a hard diffuser....

not too bad, he really take good care of it, looks exactly like brand new! tried it out justnow, very powerful...and i am satisfied with it....i thk wit have more things to explore and learn with an external flash added into my system...:devil::devil:
