Can't - shooter.

Forgot to mention:

300D has ISO 100 - D70 doesn't have
300D has bigger viewfinder than D70
300D has no backfocus issue - D70 has
300D playback can be zoomed to very detail level to check for sharpness - D70 can only be zoomed to few levels

Canon is always ahead of Nikon
;)

Rrrrright..... canon is always ahead of Nikon... of course! We are all carrot heads to choose Nikon when Canon is so much better. All the thousands of new D70 users who chose it over the 300D are all wrong and misguided souls who need to be converted back to the light side. Now shoo and go convert them or play with your toys or something, and the nice Nikonians here wouldn't burst your little bubble with how Nikon came up with the D1 and revolutionise digital photography when Canon's happily snoring away.

:nono:
No no no no no!!!

Canon not good :thumbsd:
Nikon not good :thumbsd:

Because both oso cannot answer fone call or remotely switch channels on tv or tell the oven to microwave the chicken or walk the dog.

D70 has 1005 pixel 3D matrix metering 300D doesn't have
D70 has better white balance that the 300D doesn't have
D70 has spot metering that the 300D doesn't have
D70 has i-TTL that the 300D doesn't have E-TTL II
D70 has 0.2s start up that the 300D has 2.5s
D70 has a 1.5x FLM that the 300D doesn't
D70 has a longer battery life than the 300D
D70 has a better body built than the 300D
D70 is NOT a stripped down version like the 300D of the 10D
D70 comes with a lens of build AF-S, IF-ED, DX that's resuable acroos Nikon DSLR region unlike some 300D's EF-S lens that's only a KIT lens
D70 comes with WA that the 300D doesn't have
D70 can continously take 144 frames that the 300D can't
D70 won't have exposure highlights problems that the 300D has
D70 can upload custom curves that the 300D can't
D70 has a speed sync flash of 1/500 which 300D doesn't
D70 + SB800 + continuous bursts will produce even exposures, 300D + 550EX + continous bursts will produce uneven output

Hmmm.... wow.. did I type all these? :bsmilie: Always ahead eh? Stripping down of a version to provide a cheaper version means better R&D and ahead eh? I just love Canon, They bring out the s******s in you :)

BACKFOCUSING ISSUE CAN BE FIXED, 2.5SEC STARTUP CANNOT BE FIXED.

You're absolutely right! But if I'm to use one to support my uneven bed legs, I think the 300D will crack because of it's construction, the D70 would be able to support the bed + my weight better! :nono:

espn has found a better use for the D70..
*runs away*

majere2sg :kok: U OUT!!!! :bsmilie:

For me, the most important factor in selecting a camera is picture quality. Period.
I don't care if my camera can take 1000 frames (I would rather use my handycam btw), or can walk by itself ;), or can turn on before I even press the button :P

Before I bought 300D, I did my own research by searching for picture samples taken by both 300D and D70 (from PBase, DPReview, etc.), and conclude that pictures taken by 300D is always better (quality, noise, CA, sharpness, color, etc.) than D70. This is the only factor I chose 300D, and I'm glad I did. Never regret it.

Chromatic abberation, sharpness and stuff affected by the camera body?

2 thumbs up to you buddy.

then can someone explain the SBS Canon Bus ad? 'Over 70% photographers around the world chose Canon' or something like that.....

however, i'ld still go for D70. :bsmilie:

Is it? I thought u based your factors on technical & asthetic facts wor... that's why I gave you a longer list so that you can find the proper one. One doesn't need to use everything a camera has, but it's definitely good to have.

Good for you that the 300D is better, so stop trying to compare it to the D70 then... :blah:

Sorry buddy, form your posts here and in Canon forum. I think you are quite ignorant. Anyway, glad that you made your choice and letting us know how you come about determining 300D is better than D70 here & in the other thread.... And Canon is always ahead of Nikon. time to go and enjoy your camera. ;p

Marketing bullsh*t, marketing bullsh*t....

Strong marketing is the one place I concede that Canon is much stronger than Nikon in.

if u read carefully  at the small little print on the ad, the research was actually based on the time when D70 was not launch yt... :nono:
