Nikon stuff for sale on ebay from a CS member

hi,

Even though I'm a canon user I have a friend (nickname: 'DigitalLady' on Clubsnap) who wants to sell her brand new nikon stuff. Her post is on ebay at http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItems&userid=ladydior2004&completed=0&sort=3&since=-1

She really needs help to get the stuff away. She's changing systems (Let's not start with why, not planning to start a flaming session) She asked me to help her put this post up as she's a new member and is not sure whether any of us friendly people would trust her post. I think we should all welcome her and also help her raise some money.

For those of you Nikonians who want brand new stuff please take the stuff on ebay into serious consideration.

That's quite true, I know about the risks involved when that happens...

Well, i'm helping a fellow friend over here who lives in Qatar and wants to sell some stuff off...

Really, the decision is up to you. I personally think that a fellow clubsnapper would not scam.

I've seen a thread recently posted by the this lady about her D100 and she got really upset because of the contents of the replies she got.

In all fairness, nick is merely endorsing his friend's sale. I don't see why he should be held responsible for any unsuccessful sales, unless he's getting a cut from it or something. DigitalLady has also posted here, so you should direct your questions at her.

Understandably it's easy to see Kho King's concerns, but like all things commercial - caveat emptor. Buy at your own risk, or don't buy @ all.

My 2 cents of observation. No flames pls.

Sorry if i'm posting this thread here because i dun really know where to post these ebay thread things.

Thanks Larry for clarifying things. I do understand about scams on ebay but I can assure you that this one is clearly not a scam.

In fact, just as a sign of pure courtesy, she plans to send the stuff to s'pore where i will personally sell the stuff on CS to show that it is not a scam. I've been helping DigitalLady with her photography too like we do in Clubsnap so really I know what type of chracter DigitalLady is. She is a friendly person, and I know deep inside most of us there's a stereotypical 'type' of person from the middle-eastern countries that is set in our minds.

By the way, once the ebay thing has been finished, I'm going to discuss with DigitalLady whether should i sell her stuff from s'pore as a sign of friendliness to another member of CS. I apologize if this offends anyone.

I don't think it was a personally-directed remark at you, but in general, a lot of trades on eBay using Western Union have turned out to be scams... My mind gave an immediate mental signal "WARNING" the moment I saw the words "Western Union only" :bsmilie:

no offense... but if that are the prices... i believe i rather buy those in singpaore as with shipping costs.... it is not worth it. Furthermore, there will be also the issue of warranty.

Well, I m not biased against any legal issues here (nor race) but it seems that from a practical view point, (if these are indeed bday gifts) I believe you do not really need to sell @ such a high price esp to CSers... why not let us know what's the RP here and we deal directly instead?

those prices are more suitable for int'l bidders.
