apologies to all Nikon fans .... I know I've been complaining a lot. I'm to blame for throwing the receipt away too. But am really getting frustrated with the service centre and the less-than-1mth old Nikon 3700.
it's 4:30pm...and i just received a call from Nikon. Sweet voice buffers my inner frustration. Was told they dun have spare parts, but will give me a new set. Prob is that I can only get it tomorrow late morning. Still need to produce bank monthly statement but not insisting on purchase receipt. Will let all of you know the outcome tomorrow. Hope so too! Usually, I dun like to go Service Centre. I prefer a flawless camera......but that's tough....so i would only cross my fingers to hope for a good service centre.........one that lets me trust the brand so much, that my next camera will still be of the same brand.
Hi There!!! My brother (I no time mah) just got back from Nikon Service Centre. KUDOS to NIKON !!!! Excellent Service!!!! Especially by a lady named Jean. Got a 1 to 1 exchange, a brand new set, with a new warranty (starting from today), and a receipt to show that a 1 to 1 exchange was done. Best of all, no statement was even requested over the counter too!!!!! Bravo!!!!!
Actually prob was perhaps Lens Motor. Try zooming In and out continuously for 5 to 6 times, and you will find zooming speed slowing down till it comes to a halt. Following which, the LCD will say "LENS ERROR", and you will find that you can't even shut down the camera too. Hope present 3700 users will not have the same prob.
