Was quoted D700 body alone with no freebies at lords at 3480 nett cash only.....have to add 3% if use CC, making that 3584, which is higher than Alanphoto offer at 3569 which comes with 8Gb card, bag an cleaning kit. (According to their promo on their website) alternatively could also get the body packaged with SB900 at 4079. assuming street price for SB 900 is 635, the body is only 3444. But not sure Alanphoto would impose CC charges. can anyone clarify? I also assume their prices include GST. CP prices using CC is almost 3.7K....John 3:16 and MS colour want to charge 5% for CC, which I think is absurb.

hi guys just wanna clarify some stuff, according to the article the D300 comes with a 4gb cf card, a camera armor, the lowepro bag and a lenspen. so if i'm buying from any of the recommended stores, they are supposed to give me the free gifts with no questions asked? How's this going to affect the price of the body? will mode of payment also affect this?

TIA

In theory, yes. Unless you 'change' the package. It may or may not improve your deal, depends on yr bargaining ability and how hard up they are for your sale. If you want to take out the items and ask for a cheaper price, its probably not gg to work. They would just quote u the price of the body all along. For most shops, when negotiating, they expect you to be paying by cash/ nets. Not on installment as there is another bank charge.

I am looking out for a SB-900. Let me know if you know anyone who is buying the package. Thanks.

I found it quite like a joke. When D40 dual lens kit is only $100 less than D60 dual lens kit.

I thought it would have been more logical for nikon to clear stocks of D40 by putting a greater price difference from the D60.

Note that some of those popular shops don't even accept NETS if the price agreed is low, they expect cold hard cash only.
