Help, just got myself a very nice Nikon FE, love it! but, after reading the manual, still not sure how it work.
What i known is in the viewfinder there is a green and black needle. For a save "short" is when both needle is about/close to each other.
Question is moving the green needle is by turning the shutter speed. how about for the black needle? is it auto?

Any FE user can help help... tx

congrats on getting your fe!

the green needle indicates the shutter speed you have set on the shutter speed dial. the black needle indicates the correct shutter speed. if you are in manual exposure, you just need to align both needles and you would have the right exposure.

due to the relationship between exposure and aperture, the black needle would move when you change the aperture.

FE has auto shutter mode, so if its switched to A, then u can just shoot without worrying abt the shutter speed..bring some spare batt along w u...

woo thanks for the note, it working now. next step is to get my flim and enjoy it.

oya, extra bat? hmm.. interesting.
