I will definitely put the F6 as my next buying list.
Nikon launched the F5 in 1996 for around $2,800-$3,000. After 8 donkey years, they have finally announced a replacement model aka F6.
Given the 2nd hand market is still selling the F5 in the range of $1,750-$2,000, this means that the depreciation of F5 is around $150 on average per year. ;p
Compared this phenomenon to other brands, you cannot find such a good deal. Other brands come out new SLR or DSLR in half yearly or yearly, so the product life cycle is very short. Hence the depreciation is much higher.
Nikon is simply made to last!
