any mass market film will give decent results if u shoot properly. even the budget china-made "Lucky Film" seems to give very decent results if u do a search on those threads. ;)

last time before dSLR was affordable (when D1 just came out only), i was shooting film exclusively. i usually went for the cheapest which turned out to be konica. but then i was not very discerning, all three common brands (kodak, fuji, konica) looked pretty much the same to me

hahah Yea i heard about Lucky Film. I got 2 rolls of SHD 100 B/W films. Very cheap. I looking for Ilford Xp2 or Ilford Professional 100. hahaha..:)

Hi all,
I just started off photography 2 mths back..have decided to get a Nikon F55 SLR .i heard is amateur camera to start off with since its quite cheap and easy to use. Just want to hear what kind of films would you recommend when using a SLR. Have never used a SLR camera in my life before. I do not know if color negatives or color slides are better when using a SLR. Hmm.. I prefer to have contrasty images but not too contrast till it spoils the natural beauty of the picture.

Any advice ? Hope to hear more from Nikon SLR users.

Yo.. sorrie but i know this is off topic. How much is F55 for 2nd hand now? =)
