Nikon Df - the new King of High ISO performance ?

A test shot with the Ultron 40mm....

1/60s, f/2.0, 40mm, ISO 400

Nice and sharp wide open and creamy smooth bokeh.

Tomcat, the photo is kittylicious as always !!

Hi,

Am a Df user and love every bit about the cam.
Am using 50 1.2AIS on my Df.

Sharing one of my daugther's photo.

Green dot helps a lot. I using center focus and recompose for all my shots.

This is really superb. I love the creamy background and the cat's fur color blended in well with background.

Why do you want to buy 50mm f/1.4D ??
50mm f/1.8G SE is much better. The best Nikon 50mm lens ;)

I bought it when I was in Korea and that was like 3 yrs ago :embrass:
have an option of choosing between AiS 50mm f1.2 and f.4D
choose the 2nd option

No worry about that. Buy Buy Buy again, get AiS 50mm f1.2 !
With the High ISO performance of Df and f/1.2 lens, it will be awesome ;)

Probably you were not ready for MF then.
Nevertheless, you can still get it now locally either used or new set and let your 3 years old 50/1.4D take a break?? Hee.

Btw, this is my 3rd copy. I have used and sold my previous 2 copies due to system switch. But everytime when I switched back to Nikon, I will get back this lens.

Cheers!

Good luck getting that. Stock levels for f1.2 extremely low everywhere. Last week of November 2013 I checked Yodobashi website almost daily (while I was in Japan) and 2 showed up 1 each at Akihabara and Osaka on my last day there. Had to get the understanding minister's permission to leave her and princess at the hotel and dashed to Osaka to pick it up! Went to countless BIC Camera outlets and found one at Kyoto - but was priced higher than Yodobashi.

Well. If desperate still can get new one locally but at a higher price lor.

Here's a few test shots taken with the Voigtlander Nokton 58mm f/1.4 wide open at F/1.4 and at f/2.0 ... ;)
