Hmmm.... my question will be... for those who already has D80, it is worth changing to D90...? :dunno:

looks like it is. the core is by now almost all about the noise control at high iso. beyond that the rest are appreciate-able goodies, but only the noise test will really affect the decision~

well i had d300 before and i felt it's better then d300. so i think it's very worth it to upgrade from d80.

to t/s:

good effort!

 for u!

im using nikon D60 now.....so is it wort to get a D80 which is RM2090 body now???or just get nikon D90 of RM3250....thx

I'm sure most of us will agree that the D90 is leaps and bounds better than the D80 as Nikon's mid-range DSLR... as long as you can afford it, go for the D90! Afterall, why miss out on the faster fps, better ISO performance, nicer screen and movie recording capabilities compared to the D80? :p

i don't think you will benefit much by moving from D60 to D80; in fact you even lose the sensor cleaning. on the other hand, the D90 gives you the D300 sensor and most of its functionality (liveview, better lcd, better low-light performance) in a smaller and lighter package. more importantly, you will be moving from CCD to CMOS technology. you will find that CMOS is now used on all the high-end Nikon and Canon cameras while CCD is restricted to the lower-end models. so, in my opinion, it is definitely worthwhile to move from D40/60 or even D80 to the D90.

I also interested in D90
i wonder how much is the price of the body only
cos i intend to get Nikon 18-200mm Zoom-Nikkor Lens
hmmm. or shd i just get the kit lens.
hmmmm

No one has the price for BO yet. You can always buy the kit and sell the lens.

if i were you, i would seriously consider getting the kit lens since it will be substantially discounted; with the money saved (as compared with buying the BO and 18-200), you can top up a bit to get the excellent and cheap 70-300 VR II which is a FF lens with even better reach

1450 at Lord's, but I think it's not worth it, 200 more get the lens that can sell for more than 200.

I believe what dealers are doing is stripping the lens off the kit and selling the body only for a much higher price than what the BO price should be when it becomes available. That way they can profit by selling the lens separately. I expect the BO price to be ard $1300 given that the US list price is US$999. Those who want the BO should either get the kit and sell the lens or wait for the BO to be available.

yeah! yeah! yeah! Just got mine! now charging the battery. :gbounce::rbounce:

I'm glad for you....I only could molest it last week at CP penisular plaza. Heart pain my pocket so kosong....Bo lui... Do share some photo over here.
