Last time I checked, I dont have a single photo shot with 1/8000.
When u want to use f2.8 or even f1.8 under the sun u will know what I'm talking about.
There are some workarounds, but why do I pay for a full frame DSLR yet cannot get 1/8000? In today's technology why am I getting 1/4000 for a full frame?
Is shutter speed all that matters to you? Every camera has its pros and cons, and there are no benchmarks to measure what aspects quantifies one to be 'full frame'.
Based on today's technology one could very well pack a d4s with a 50mp sensor, ultra fast focus speed and an Intel i7 processor. There isn't a camera out there that caters to all our wants, but still, it doesn't make them less of a camera.
1/8000 is a defacto spec for most DSLR or at least the full frame ones. Don't u feel shortchanged?
There is no such Cam out there that is loaded with today's technology. I might also ask why buy D810 yet cannot do video like GH4. Such questions are endless.

u dont shoot at f1.4? or u dont shoot outdoor?
i have a d700 with 35mm f1.4 and the iso200 1/8000 drives me nuts.
i bought a d800 thinking the iso100 1/8000 will solve my problem but the d800 cant focus well on my 35mm....
i hear the d750 af is very good, if they gave 1/8000 shutter, i would have bought it instantly
D750 fast lens shooters have to standby ND filters for outdoor.
1/4000 is a big turn off for some users.
you use the 50 1.2??
I have got it for over 2 weeks now.... I am very impressed by the DR, the high ISO capability, the Fast and Accurate AF and tracking speed... and especially the light weight....
The tilting screen i dont use much of it.... but is a good to have...
ISO @ 12,800 still clean is quite amazing. The files from this camera is simply outstanding! I simply love this camera!
Sounds like the same trip ortega was onhttp://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1472164
Sometimes I have problem with f2.8 on micro4/3 1/4000. So far no problem on dslr 1/8000. Get what I mean?
