SHOW OFF!
You make me envious! ;p

Actually, if you think my equipment envious you.....I have seen a camera man carrying 3 X D3s, 14-24, 24-70, 70-200, 300mm f2.8, 105mm Macro, 85mm f1.4 and 3 X SB-900s.......and this is a local photographer with of course an assistant helping him lar......THAT'S what I call a show off.....keke. Sounds impossible right but man....this guy really super kiasu....:bsmilie:

If you are an event photographer covering super important Actual Wedding Day or some Minister's function, it's at least a must to have 2 camera bodies and 2 flashes.

I was covering an event last Saturday and my SB-800 died half way thru......but as usual I have a spare one to replace it. Now the worn out SB-800 is in the workshop for the second time in 4 years......replacing the tube. Another time my D200 shutter ran out of steam half way thru a shoot......but as usual I have another body for spare. This 2 separate events each cost me 10% of my actual fees. So was lucky to have a backup system.....to pay for my repair bill.

Well, you're earning $$ from your photography equipment, so it justifies the expense I guess... :)
I'm happy enough with my DSLR kit + a few ordinary lenses.
WOW 3 x D3 alone will be backbreaking! Carrying all that gear reminds me of NS days with fullpack fully loaded...!

Not that bad lah.. 3x D3 still lighter than a SAW.

Different people have different needs so no need to be envy.

As long as you are contented with what your current system can do for you now then it'll be good.

Wow. thanks for the price update.

Its always terrible to see RRP at this kinds of shows.. eeeee. :sticktong

If the TS was getting a non-FX body, the D300 with 16-85VR would give both width and and reach and be really light for walkabouts.

ok lah, the pricing for the D700 has a FREE SB900. So it is around the $3550 street price after you minus off all the freebies. But if u don't need the freebies, might as well buy from outside.

if you dont need all the freebies, you can always discuss with the sales ppl there :) at sitex/
