Hi guys... I just got a NIkon D70 few days ago. I am facing some problem with the camera exposure. Whenever i use the reading from the camera, the photos will turn out 1stop under. Anyone facing the same problem? I went back to the shop n they change a brand new set but its still the same. So whenever i take picures now, i need to compensate +1 to get the correct exposure. Anyone can advise?

Hi Ray,

For me, I shoot RAW, so I have no choice but to run either PS CS or Nikon Capture to pre-process the NEF files after I take them. Form both softwares, you can adjust the exposure of your shots quite easily to suit your taste. I find NC 4.0 easier to use with the NEF files.

If your D70 is getting 1 stop under and does not suit your taste, and if you shoot RAW, then just run batch on all your NEF files with a +1 setting (and other enhancements you like) to compensate while converting your pictures to JPEG and you're done. You only have to edit one picture and the same will be done to all other files you want processed. You can have you coffee or tea and TV while you wait.

You can also consider installing customs curves into your D70 as pointed to by one of the links above.

Enjoy your cam!

cheers,

The batt will get fully charged in 2-3 hrs... BUT it is recommended to charge it for 12 hours the first time to ensure long batt life.

I have actually called the nikon support and inquire about how to charge the battery for the first time and was told that once it is charge it is charged. *hope this is true*. You may want to call their support no. 65593 641 to verify again. As you know diff support diff info given just like when you inquire something and called your either of 3 telcos sometimes the first time you call the customer service they will give the info and the next time you call again with same question the info given might not be the same as previously given. sighhh.

Charge it up to 10 hrs will do fine. I charged mine for only 2 hours till full and used it already ;p

After that try to let it discharge fully before charging it again. This will ensure the battery is properly calibrated for more power to the max.

Mine, I charged until the light stops blinking and thats it.

The shop ask me to charge 4 hours can liao :what:
