ps. Anyone encounter black band lines scrolling vertically on the LCD when using Live View? Is it a defect or inherent in the camera ? :embrass:

are you trying it indoor?if yes that's ok, it's because of the fluorescent light source(so far it only appears on videos, i don't think it will appear on pictures)..try doing it outside in daylight..you can minimize it though, when i shoot video indoors under artificial light and i see those horizontal lines, i try to point to some area where the exposure is metered good by the camera thus eliminating the lines, when it's there, i hold the AE/AL button to lock the exposure..

Thanks. The bands appear only under fluorescent lights. Will try outdoors and also using the AE/AL Button next time.

no dude the 16-85 is not a kit lens, the d5000 with the 18-55 will set u back below 1200, cheaper if u know how to bargain, while the 16-85 is around 900++, also if u can find a good bargain lah...

ps:havent get that lens yet, as GF n good buddy restricting me from the BBB virus
