Its always the same when there's a new things come out (e.g. DSLR vs SLR)
ppl will be rather defensive in many ways when details have not been reviewed or understood, but after DSLR becomes more common/cheaper the thinking of people changes. It is true that many DSLR are using CF cards as the mainstream storage media that's where ppl invested their hard earn money. It is also true that technology always changes/upgrades itself so CF can phase out or maybe not but afterall we are just consumers not standard setters like IEEE or ISO. Isn't it better to put more time and attention in doing what you like e.g. taking photographs etc??
No one in this forum can really and accurately "predict" the future of the media cards (be it CF, SD etc) maybe there'll be a better 1 coming out soon so all these debating is not that important after all. Let Time proves everthing.
