(Dont know truth or not) :dunno: :dunno:

Is it me, or the image look photoshop'ed? The D50 insignia looks odd: the font for '5' looks like another (abeilt similar) family from the '0''s. The AF/AE lock buttons on back looks grafted on by PS. I thought the F50 only have 1 wheel, not 2?

It is a fake lar....someone grafted on the row of rear control buttons from the D2 series and superimpose onto an F50/D70 hybrid back...still its a very good PS job and looks almost like the real McCoy...

Wow!! A canon user knowledge so indepth on Nikon system

I just managed to track down the infamous PDF document featuring the D50 Nikon. ALthough it is a line illustration that show the varying parts of D50, this photos are not the real McCoy lah heh..

The D50 is abit more compact when compared to the D70. It has only one dial at the rear...none in the front. Okay...better not say too much and spoil the fun I notice someone mentioned that the new D50 and D70s is not to be mentioned here since the slip up.

Wow below S$1k! Look like it's about time to switch to digital

a good alternative for nikon fans and newcomers to DSLR world. but it weighs more than the 350D, has no option for vertical grip and uses SD cards...

If Nikon does not price this much more lower than the 350D, many will choose the 350D.

We will see how Nikon price the D50 on 20 April 2005, Wednesday.

Just commenting:

Isn't it strange tt Nikon is choosing a Grey-Black body? I remember, when the Canon 300D first appeared in a similar colour body, many Nikonians ridiculed it by saying it looked plasticky/cheap/unprofessional..blah blah. Therefore Canon came out with the black body version because of the publicity surrounding the choice of colour for the body.

Now, Nikon is introducing a similar colour body. I think the Canon bros out there will be having a field time at the D50! (Already some Canon bro is calling it a lady's cam!) Or... it could be a conspiracy on Nikon's part to introduce the black body version sometime in the future, thus generating more sales!!

Just my $0.02 worth or maybe it's late at night! Cheers to all! :sweatsm:

Be patience, all the young Dark Side Lord.

D50 is an all rounder entry level DSLR suitable for all users.
You will be surprise when D50 sales roar. ;)
