thanks for the info ... i was there (Alan's photo) yes'd ... was told they are only giving 8gb and the BIG nikon bag, no screen protector. the screen protector u mentioned is the one covering the LCD???
may i know whom u approach to via email??? thanks..

After trying for some time, (and the manual just say shift up and down until its clear) I conclude that push it all the way up is + power and all the way down is - power.

Like you said, -ve power for myopes. +ve power for hyperopes.

I went about a month ago and they quoted me $850 -.-

Anyway I got mine from Lords Camera over at Lucky Plaza, no pressure sales tactics etc.

I'd recommend getting from reputable shops instead of IT Fair, as those fairs usually sell at the RRP of $988, but shops outside can sell at lower price.

Of course, RRP price usually gets you more free gifts.

Totally agree with u bro, Funan shops sell at a cheaper rate if you are paying straight by cash. IT fair is totally out. I checked out at Funan Challenger 2 lvl b4, they sold 100 SGD cheaper than the COMEX and get the same Free gifts.

Get the D5k. Then you can use it as a 2nd camera if you need to.

I am new to this forum and to the D3000, just bought mine on Friday. I have been a Canon user for some time shooting a Rebel XT but switched about a year ago to the D40 and now the D3000. I enjoy shooting this camera because it is easy to use, shoots great images, and is small in the hands.

Here is a picture I took with the D3000, only editing done was to crop to 4x6 for printing.

cause i found it cam is light weight and usefull for travelling or bring to street shoots.

I get around 200 shots but I play around with the settings alot and camp for a long time before shooting :embrass:

CIPA rated for 550 shots.

ha ha. I get it for my 2nd camera so i don't one to spend much. And it also better ISO Then dc. And my dream is it can be using the afs 50mm 1.4g = 75mm it's good for portrait too. Ha ha i'm already standby it.
