It is very interesting experience for me at the last two days in Nikon @ Comex 2010, but I won't be in today and tomorrow.

if you guys happen to drop by, can look for Jeff, a very tall guy wearing dark frame specs with a ponytail, and also Sze Kiat (Sprintist) :D

Anybody buying the camera but dun wan the len (55-200mm len) and batt? Pls pm me OR text me @ 93737919 Jay, willing ford out $250 . . .

hmm but if you look at the price at the Nikon Comex Brochure and you call the shops listed in the Price Guide, you will find that you are actually paying for the freebies.

The difference in the prices can even give you savings if you buy outside comex and manually purchase the freebies.

Ya...talked to Jeff. He was ever so polite with the demo of D5000. He spent so much time explaining the different settings. I felt so paiseh asking so much which he patiently explained. On the whole kudos to all behind the counter. Well done...good job.

Hi,

I have.

If you know nuts about DSLRs, it's useful. However, most of the time, the guy will tell you to press on which button to get the setting he deems good. My sister said,"You spend $20 to have your camera's setting done."

But I feel that it was beneficial to me. At least I don't feel the buttons are so daunting now. I am more familiar with what button does what. You may want to get a notebook and pen to jot down some of the tips for newbies eg. which mode to shoot uncle / babe.

He would also tell you what are the things a newbie should buy for the benefit of the camera.

After the workshop, some of us stayed around to ask him questions and he was most willing to answer them.

I would say it was good for me. Till now, it's the only workshop I've ever attended.

for me it is useful . . . at least i get to know the various function and how to handle it . . . :)

How was Comex? I missed this time round.

Thanks you guys. I think I am pretty familiar with the functions/buttons of my D90. My problem lies mainly in composition and pp...

But I am going anyway.
