Hehe...you are tempting me to join the queue for the D500 tomorrow but I shall resist. Agree on the 200-500 with TC1.4. I don't like it with TC but will still keep the lens as it's pretty good for its price. Nevertheless the 300 f4 is my favourite go to lens when I want a leisurely nature/bird shoot.

The 300mm F/4E PF still never fails to amaze me with its quality (for that weight/price!) The D500 has breathed even more life into it
