Go for D90 + Kit. I think the price will stable around 1.6-1.7k. And for the next new model, it will be totally new price and announced it with "Nikon adjusted lower price". Business tactic.

the prices of digital bodies would "naturally" adjust downwards with the introduction of newer technology and newer competing models. actual price adjustments in the lenses (e.g. 70-200VR) would be more reflective of them doing "real" price adjustments!!
