the 5700 has a Noise Reduction feature in it. did you enable/disable it?

Bo pian, had to use ISO 400, which will typically be noisy for prosumer digital cameras like the 5700. The guy in the photo is none other than the boss of the shop.
As a sidenote, the Fuji S2 Pro's ISO 1600 is cleaner than this ISO 400!
