Nikon 35mm f1.8 pics

Thanks all for responses. I actually bought this lens a while ago but did not have the chance to use it yet. Was surprised by its lightness and small size. Agree that for concerts I will have to be very to the subject, not always a possibilty. Hence my question.
Wonder whats the price of the 50mm f1.4 and how much more for the 85mm f1.4.

you may refer to this MO Nikon lens thread. but doesn't mean its selling at this price outside.

You might want to consider the 85/1.8 also if you think the 85/1.4 is too expensive.

This is as low light as it gets for me....

Hi,

all photos are nicely done. thanks for sharing.
my reason of being here is that, im owning an AF-50mmf1.8, and im thinking of having another lens, what i have in mind is the 35mm.

-is it worth buying even i have the 50mm already? by the way im shooting D90.

-and any views about the two 35mm's; f1.8 and f2

Thanks.

Anyone using this lens on FX systems? Can post some pics to show how bad the vignetting is? :) Thx!

Shooting DX is reason enough to get the 35/1.8 because 50mm becomes a medium tele.

Yes you are right. There are xx-200mm or xx-400mm. :) My bad.

actually.. sigma does make a 120-300mm f/2.8 heard is pretty good.. theres also the 200-500 f2.8 if that not enuf =P

I was asking the same question some time back also but I was contemplating about getting a 50mm f/1.8 when I already have the 35mm f/1.8G. Even now when I have my 50mm, I still love my 35mm f/1.8G. It is a lens that I will keep even if I sell my other lens away as it is really good and sharp. Highly recommended. You won't regret for buying it as it is really value for money (around $350).
