feel like buying one

Not sure anyone has a 18-200mm could post some shots for your comparison first... Rumors this 16-85mm lens is getting a refresh soon too to fixed f4

Another tight 16mm shot in scorching sun...

I was bringing 18-105 and 11-16mm everywhere I go. Kinda tired of bringing 2 lens everywhere. So I went straight for 16-85.

So far so good..

But now, I still bring 11-16 along with 16-85.. :hammer: haha.. but it greatly reduced the number of times I need to change lens.. Hehe..

I own 16-85, i am thinking of getting 11-16. I assume you are using Tokina 11-16. How do you find the two lens 16-85 vs 11-16? Under bright light condition, Is 11-16 significantly better than 16-85 ? With respect to usefulness, can I assume 16-85 is on yr camera body most of the time?

i prefer to take portraits, street photography so a little telephoto shld do me just fine. thinking of bringing either of this for my holiday travels and stuff coupled with the 35mm or 50mm for low light photog.

shld i go for the flexibility of the 18-200mm or the 16-85mm?

In response to TS's enquiry, I was also deciding between the two lens previously.

A good reference point is in your usage with your current lens. I started with kit lens, 18-55. In my previous usage, I needed a wider angle than 18 MORE than I needed a narrower angle than 55. That is when I decide to proceed with 16-85.

Think with respect to yr current kit lens, where do YOU find yourself short, in your usage.

To TS, I got the same situation like you do.
And I'm planning to buy 16-85 too. It's wider, cheaper, and lighter too for travelling.

maybe should also consider sigma 17-70mm f2.8-4.0 OS HSM. Faster, cheaper and has better focusing distance and magnification.

They are very very different kinds of lenses bro.

No offence bro, but this is a question thread that is 5 years old. If you like to share pictures, maybe you can start some threads in the Photo Galleries section of the site http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=11
