Nikkor 70-300 mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED

Hi Pros, I am new to photography. I have been pondering on whether to get the Nikkor AF-S VR 70-300 mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED, I need some advice on whether it can be used on D90 and on the quality of this lens. Your advice and information are most appreciated. Cheers

This is quite a good telephoto zoom lens as compared to the 18-200 and its FF too.
