so many threads to catch up on. finally seeing colours here. nice take for #9 and #10. surprised to see sand dunes in Vietnam.

yes, i was so excited to go after i found out that there were sand dunes.

the folks at naturescapes were quite taken aback too, possibly vietnam is stereotyped as all jungle.. :)

thanks for dropping by. still have quite a bit to go, but i have 3 or 4 from tioman too.. faint.

#9 is nice,
probably after so many BnW ;p

In infrared, converted to monotone. Shot with modified K100D.

Very nice series. Like the jeep in the far with the people walking up the dunes with that trail and shadows.

I wanna go mui ne too

Wow! Didn't know Vietnam has such interesting landscape too. Been seeing mostly street shots. Inspiring work again night86mare.

Inspiring shots. Looks like Mui Ne is a good and cheap alternative for landscape photography too. Care to share a rough estimate one needs to spend say for a one week trip there? When would be a good time to travel there?

thanks guys.

vietnam can be very nice, i liked it already even though it was only my first time there. and anyways, as long as there is coast, chances are there will be sea, and i love the sea. :)

monolime - all in, i would say it would be pretty cheap if you are not picky about your food and lodging. for myself, i spent approximately $350 - $400 for 5 or 6 days (can't remember exactly, but i can check) including airfare.. changed sgd150 worth of dong and used maybe slightly more than 2/3 of it only. :) and that's without scrimping on food, though of course we didn't eat expensive or stay expensively. as for timing, i am not sure, that you would have to ask people more familiar with vietnam climate, or do research, i was merely tagging along this time.. :)

:) thanks for dropping by.

i would have put the land on the third, but found that it didn't work, there were distractions below this frame. also, didn't want to cut out the cloud formation abruptly. :)

For the white sand dunes (whatever is posted so far), there is a very nice lotus lake nearby..
