I thought this one looked like a face sticking out its tongue.. Ok maybe my imagination a bit wild. :bsmilie:

i like the way u composed this shot and the way it was processed
Actually the first impression I was imagining it to be a face as well !

While slightly less obvious in #1 and #2 perhaps because of the darker blue hues, this picture has an apparent magenta over the otherwise white clouds. An effect of a color cast on a filter ?

How did you get in? Did you climb over the locked gates?

Hey bro, my eyes just got distracted by the burnt clouds.....most part of the pic is slightly underexposed (I believe its to accommodate the bright sky), but the bright burnt sky just make a big contrast. Didn't bring your GND for this trip?

I like the composition in 1 & 2 though.:)

Hi, I thought this shot has another potential: crop out everything else and just leave the refleciton of the unique shape of the stadium roof. That roof has unique shape that everyone will recignise. by leaving out everything else, it gives viewers the room to imagine the whole picture.

I have been waiting (and waiting and waiting...) to get a chance at shooting water puddle reflection of any significant building. Have had this image in my head for a long time but never got to actually take 1 yet...

here's an appeal to all those fisheye lens owners: someone please lie flat on your back in the middle of the stadium and take a shot towards the sky, capturing all 4 flood lamps.:)

i like #1.

gives a cool feeling of an abandoned place. feels very empty which is suppose to be the feeling. :)

prefer the running tracks to the shotput area in #2. the pattern of the tracks has more impact than the shotput area. ;)

wa, so much interest again..

lastboltnut - definitely used my gnd here.. but then it is not strong enough to hold back the clouds so i guess i had to allow for a little burnout. i cannot remember how it looks but i agree that the dark parts are dark from memory.. not so sure about burnt out though.. but then again my laptop monitor has problem differentiating whites so i am not sure about this.

emlee - ah, i know what you mean, but i do have a personal preference for wider scenes.. i think eikin has a very good series on the stadium here, do a search for threads started by him and you'll find it. zerodivine and xevox too.

dingzyangz - thanks for your kind comments.

giantcanopy - sharp eyes there, the sky was a bit blown out so i did some holding back using photoshop filters and layers. might have affected the color cast somewhat, as in coloration due to overdone multiplying. not sure about that though. thanks for commenting!

waileong - aiyo, i am very good boy la.. didn't do such things.. this was back when i was back in singapore in mar or apr, so the stadium was still wide open.. cheers!

i am thinking... can we climb in? thinking of getting a few shots before the place gets demolished.

i believe ppl can still enter.
just have to register at the security post,
there'll be a table place along the driveway below the main entrance

I am sure it is still open to public.

hhhmm, has anyone been there these past few days? . . . i wonder if it's still open to the public . . . thinking of going down for quick a shoot :)

Interesting in taking a few shots of Kallang as well, before it gets tear down

i kind of agree with that too. but on top of that, i think the magenta cast seems to drape over not just the clouds but over the buildings and that seem to be the bigger problem too becos understandably the clouds can be lit by a number of colors whereas it may not be true for the low light that eventually illuminates the buildings.

oh oh, forgot to update that i didn't go cos the weather was horrible. hrm.
