The Man and His Dog

One word...breathtaking!

Im a big fan of your APAD for the past one year  The tianya filters looks great. Tempting me to get a set... :bheart:

why not? tianya is cheap! :) based on feedback gained from bargain users though.. it might be better to get cokin's adaptor rings and filter holder (especially if you have uwa like me).. the quality is better. but tianya filters seem to be better in terms of neutrality - at least quite a number like hazmee feel so.

Haa. Really swearing off HDR.
Nice caption. :)

yar, i think i'm using too much of it, getting very tired of it too
until they come up with a better program which handles colors and sharpness better
i'll only use it when the details are really necessary.

my, this is a beautiful shot. love the way how gently lit the foreground is. :)
thanks schon - that's the hdr version

this is a photoshop (no hdr) version that i redid last night

what do you think? :dunno:

the HDR is better imho. What HDR software u using? ;)

i feel that there's a different feel to it.. more warm.. less mysterious.. i like the soothing feeling of the second picture actually..

i guess the first picture gives me a feeling of solitude but the second one made me feel more like the sun has 'set' for the day.. calming effect.. :sweatsm:

iboey - photomatix. i guess for sunsets the color is already quite surrealistic so it isn't so bad at web size. at full size it is a painful sight to look at though. comparing daytime scenes however, it is very very bad. can be lessened with color balance tweaking but unless i do a lot of work.. it's not going to be the same ever.. and i don't really think there should be too much of that.

snowywolf - hurhur, actually it's a sunrise. i'm thinking that the second one's tonal quality matches that of reality better though.

aiya invest more $ in more filters la, then don't ever need hdr anymore
