i was there, but not in the picture, then before you could say "adobe photoshop CS", i'm in the picture. :D

thanks willy for the great time, learned a number of neat tricks. :)

Thanx to Willy for organising the nite shoot, had a wonderful time. BTW, I am no. 4 from the left in the standing group shot. Have some photos to post but first must figure out how to post :dunno:

:cheergal: It was a fun yesterday, everybody was shooting. Willy is so excited that he thought of the idea using the finger with the black cloth to improve the photos :bsmilie:

Thanks for organising this outing

as suggested by Willy, Fullerton covered 8 sec out of 16.

csjunk.jpg

my camera (Oly 5050) can only open 16 sec max, that's why the trail of the junk boat is so short. quite a challenge to time the junk boat with 12 sec self-timer delay.

csconstruction.jpg

construction site on the way down. taken handheld, f1.8 iso 400, no flash.

super efficient, posting pic at Mc.

Great to hear you guys had a wonderful time shooting and learning.
Just curious, the black card covering method taught for 8sec was covering half or 2/3 the lens from the top?
If the intention is to have a long trail , would a longer than 16 sec be needed ( say 30sec) :dunno: with the biggest F# available.
Saw most photo posted here didnt managed to have a long trail of the boat's light :dunno:

I wanted to ask you if you've shot IR directly at the sun.

Some of mine to share. Last night too tired to post... :D

hmmm... this kodak HD film seems to be good stuff. did a bit of levels adjustment and USM in PS. as for the longer boat trails... i kept the shutter open for 30 sec. hahaha :D

Shears bridge...slightly higher than where the night shots was taken. Using 28-135 IS + 1.4x extender. Manually adjust -2.5 and -3.5 stops from the metered reading.
